At the air conditioning and ventilation technology specialist Menerga GmbH based in Mülheim an der Ruhr the board of management has changed. With immediate effect Frank Ernst and Ralf Eichentopf are in charge of the business activities of Menerga GmbH. The current Managing Director, Dr. Christian Hennerkes, will be leaving the company by the end of April 2015.
Both new Managing Directors are familiar faces in the ventilation, climatisation and refrigeration market (LÜKK). Ralf Eichentopf has been heading different productions within the GEA Group at different sites for many years and most recently been in charge of the GEA Bock GmbH as part of the management board. Eichentopf will be responsible for production as well as for all associated technical areas upstream.
Frank Ernst was previously Sales Director of GEA Air Treatment for Germany and has been in charge of all sales activities for Menerga since March 2014. Taking over the position as Managing Director was already planned from his start and prepared accordingly. Although it might not be obvious at first sight: Frank Ernst is well known in the Systemair Group and in that respect a Systemair-professional is returning: Already up until 2004 he has worked in different areas for the Swedish Group.
Dr. Christian Hennerkes, currently Managing Director of Menerga GmbH, resigns by mutual agreement from his current position by the end of April. He has decisively initiated the acquisition of Menerga by Systemair in 2013 and taken responsibility for the integration into a worldwide leading group within the HVAC market.
Menerga was founded in 1981 and is one of the leading manufacturers of AHU in Europe in the market of swimming pool halls as well as comfort and process climatisation with a strong focus on energy efficiency. Menerga is located in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. The company employs ca. 400 people.
Systemair is a leading ventilation company with operations in 45 countries in Europe, North- and South America, the Middle East, Asia and South Africa. The Company had sales of SEK 5.3 billion in financial year 2013/14 and currently employs about 4,500 people. Systemair has reported an operating profit every year since 1974, when the Company was founded. During the past 15 years, the Company's growth rate has averaged about 13 percent.
